Iserlohn

Burg Altena
With its quaint cottages situated on the banks of the River Lenne, surrounded by green trees, Altena is well worth a visit. Moreover, it is also home to an impressive 12th-century castle on top of the Wulfsegge.
Berleburg
In Bad Berleburg, you will find half-timbered houses with slate roofs, many museums and hiking trails. Berleburg Castle is a large 18th-century Baroque palace located in this city, built and still inhabited, by the German noble family Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. On a guided tour, you will learn about the history of the castle and its inhabitants.
Winter sports museum
In Winterberg itself, you will find the German Winter Sports Museum. The development of different winter sports and everything involved in that is covered here in permanent and rotating exhibitions.
