Hahnenklee is a state-approved climatic health resort - and has been for 130 years. The climatic health resort is characterised by a mild and somewhat stimulating climate. The proven therapeutic effect of the high air purity in Hahnenklee supports the regeneration of body and mind and ensures an increase in overall well-being.

Sights in Hahnenklee

Liebesbankweg Hahnenklee (first premium hiking route in the Harz and Lower Saxony). The entrance to the Liebesbankweg is directly at the end of the Wiesenstraße at the Bockswiese water point (also a stamping point for the Harz hiking needle). Follow the path to the west and the Grumbacher Teichkaskade. The Liebesbankweg is a roughly 7 km long circular hike, but can also be wonderfully enjoyed in smaller chunks.

The Gustav Adolf Stave Church is constructed entirely of wood and towers over Hahnenklee. It is one of the first destinations that you can quickly reach on foot during your stay at the Hotel Niedersachsen (approx. 700 m away). The imposing architectural style of Norwegian stave churches makes them an attractive photo opportunity at any time of the day. It was built in 1907/1908 by Karl Mohrmann. Nowadays there is a carillon in the church - a so-called tower carillon - that invites you to concerts time and again.

Grand views

We recommend a visit to the Bocksberg for non-winter sports enthusiasts as well. Since July 2014, a modern four-person chairlift takes you to the top of the Bocksberg next to the time-tested cable car. In addition to the ski slope, toboggan run and all-weather toboggan run, you have a beautiful view of Hahnenklee here.

A highlight in the summer months is, for example, a ride on the 1250 m long summer toboggan run \"BocksBergBob\" and the \"Bagjump\", where you fall from a 6 or 9 m high platform into a huge air cushion. A ride with the BocksBergCarts also guarantees a lot of fun. Another attraction is the rustic \"forest school\". Schools from far and wide can use this place for exciting object lessons about flora and fauna. On the other side there is a path for the senses, a mini go-kart track, a slide tower and a gigantic trampoline for all the little visitors. The 726 m high Bocksberg can be easily reached with the Bocksberg cable car or the chair lift. Enjoy the beautiful view while driving and experience varied hours at the top of the mountain.

The Hahnenklee Bike Park is Germany\'s northernmost cycling attraction and delivers pure adrenaline. Mountain bike fans can indulge themselves on seven different descents and a practice track.
